It's a solid list that I think speaks for itself. Something tells me that Ex Machina would be a 5* movie if I watched it again. It's certainly deserving of the rating. I rate the movies immediately so outside factors cannot color my perception of the movies.
I know Assassination wasn't watched by many but HOT DAMN, it is everything that you want in a movie, so long as you do not want English dialogue. Highest possible recommendation.
Black Mass, has a couple of cumbersome issues in the storytelling same as The Martian. Still great movies but really only in my top five because the small amount of movies that I saw this year and the lack of quality of some of those movies. Once again, not bad, just not The Boob Toob Academy Award (commonly referred to as the Boobies) winning fare, but I guess it defaults into having a nomination..
Now let see if we can get Dan and the other hosts to post their Boobies Nominations.

Dumb Ways to Die
A
bit late to the party, apparently it went viral late last year, but here’s a
fun video made by Metro Trains in Melbourne, Australia as a rail safety public
service announcement. I really like the character designs and the creative ways
that they had those guys die.
I’ve
never been with a sex worker and I think I’m ultimately too cheap to be with
one although I have absolutely nothing against it. Not really sure how it came
about but I’m interested in the people who work in the industry and also how it
all works. This was a news segment from SBS 2’s The
Feed featuring Gloria Van Vaulker. She shares her experiences and
gives some insight into the lives of sex workers. Below is the promo but you can watch the full video here.

Or 'Reservoir Dogs Looking Dudes Doing Crazy Stuff: The Video Game (The Movie)' I don't think the concept of filming an action sequence like a first person shooter is super unique but I think it's done really well and I like it! Plus bewbs and planes... can't go wrong :)

Ask Axe Cop
I've read the comic and I can't believe this is being made as a cartoon. They do the comic like a proper one with a story and everything but they also do these short 'Ask Axe Cop' segments where people (not sure if they're fake people or real people) write letters and Axe Cop answers them.
It's that special kind of weird. Something would happen in the comic and maybe I should feel bad about it but I'm laughing at it which makes me feel even more like I should feel bad because I'm laughing at the thing that maybe I shouldn't be laughing at.
How's that for confusing?
Sydney Festival TV: Rubber Duck
Super late but I saw this in person back in January. Pretty fun seeing it up close. It's huge! There was a big gust of wind while I was there and it was fun seeing it move around. Here's a bit of background info:

Less weird and more amazing. I love these sorts of time lapse pics, especially when it involves building something huge. I have the equipment to do this but I've been very lazy and haven't gotten around to doing one.

Trailer Park Chan-Wook’s new film (and first Hollywood feature). You may
remember him from such films as Oldboy,
Joint Security Area and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. I’ve mostly
enjoyed his movies and I’m loving what the South Korean film peeps are dishing
out so I’ll be checking this out.
It’s written
by Wentworth Miller (the main dude
from prison Break) and according to Cinematical,
it was voted to the 2012 “Black List” of the 10 best unproduced screenplays in
Hollywood (thanks Wikipedia).

What’s up
boobers and toobers! This is Dan, here with some things that I meant to discuss
on the show but didn't end up doing so for one reason or another. I also find
myself forgetting a lot of things as soon as Bobgar hits ‘record’ so I may use
this space for things that I remember after we’re done recording.
For now, I’m
calling it Boob Toob Supplemental mainly because I can’t think of anything
better. Maybe Bob can change it if he has something better in mind. Or maybe
YOU can suggest a better title.
Anyway,
enough babbling from me. Here’s... umm... some more babbling from me! (I really
should’ve thought that through.)
Disassembled
This is an animated short byJunaid Chundrigarand was apparently done in collaboration with Marvel. Other credits includeJoris Hermy (music),Erik Griekspoor(sound design) andThijs Viegers (Hulk explosion).
Minus the intro by Stan Lee, it’s only 2 mins long so it’s short and sweet. The animation style is funny and whacky and it shows various Marvel characters having a bad day. Venom eating the ice cream is my fave. The Snakes on the Plane bit was also nice. And Johnny Storm looks messed up!
I like it a lot and I feel like this would’ve been great as a bonus feature in the Avengers DVD/bluray. Tangent: The Avengers movie was GREAT! Next time you see Bob, tell him to watch it so we can talk about it on the show :)
